UK King’s Daughters, a 455-bed regional healthcare system serving Kentucky and Ohio, is offering an outstanding Hospitalist opportunity for a board eligible/certified Nephrologist.

Nephrology, a branch of medical science that deals with the kidneys, is an essential service offered at UK King's Daughters. As a leading provider of quality health and wellness services, UK KDMC has a team of board-certified nephrologists who are experts in diagnosing and treating various kidney disorders, ranging from kidney stones to renal disease.

On staff we have five full-time physicians and one part-time physician. We have seven Advanced Practitioners: six provide inpatient and outpatient care and one provides only inpatient coverage.  

The Physician will provide inpatient coverage one week in the hospital as the coordinator and one week in the hospital as the helper. Weekend call is ome weekend out of 5 weeks. Providers have a holiday coverage schedule worked out through 2031. Schedule is Monday-Friday. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Physicians provide:

· Dialysis and fluid, electrolyte, and kidney disorders treatment

· Hypertension care and management

· Dialysis, acute dialysis, and pre-dialysis education

· Preventive care and nutrition counseling
